We welcome submissions from artists and writers:

Artists:
To submit your own artwork for consideration, send a selection of images*, résumé, and artist statement.

Writers:
To submit an idea for an article, send a one-paragraph synopsis of your proposed article, writing samples, and images*. Proposals must be accompanied by appropriate visuals.

Please do not submit artwork or proposals by email.

* Images are accepted in the form of slides, transparencies, or high-resolution digital images. Send up to twenty examples of recent work with full caption information (artist, title, year completed, materials, techniques, dimensions and photo credit, where applicable). If you are submitting digital images, please include printed thumbnails. We prefer the high-resolution digital images to be TIFF format, 300 ppi resolution, and at least as big as they would be printed in the magazine. If your high-resolution images do not meet these requirements, please do not convert them. Upon submission we will determine if they suitable.
