Summer 2006 Issue

The editorial staff of Fiberarts carefully reviews each issue of the magazine to ensure that all of the information presented is correct and complete. Occasionally, however, something gets past us and makes it into print. We apologize for any inconvenience these errors may have caused you.
 
Previews
One page 16, we included an article about upcoming summer exhibitions (Basketry International and Bead International) at the Dairy Barn Cultural Arts Center in Athens, Ohio. We mentioned Quilt National 2007, which is held in alternate years at the Dairy Barn, and incorrectly stated that project director Hilary Fletcher had held her position since 1979. Fletcher wrote to correct us: "Nancy Crow was the originator of and the project director for Quilt National '79. Sarah Gilfert was the project director for Quilt National '81. I became completely enchanted by the works when I first set foot in the Dairy Barn during the inaugural exhibition in 1979, and although I worked as a volunteer on the comittee for QN '81, I did not become the QN project director until September 1982."
