For Valentine’s Day, Fiberarts invited readers to send us fabric postcards valentines for us to mail from our hometown post office in Loveland, Colorado. Loveland offers a special romantic postmark for the holiday each year, along with a poem, that is lovingly handstamped by local volunteers. The Sampling section of our April/May issue is filled with these fabric postcards, and here we have expanded the section to include a sample of the cards we received from each of our participants.
In our second year of playing cupid, we received almost 100 cards to pass along. The stunning variety of submissions included techniques such as beading, dyeing, appliqué, marbling, and weaving. It was very apparent that a lot of love and care went into each one—thanks to all for taking on the challenge! |
